Almost all of them were compelled to close their doors due to the lockout. Some people recovered and reopened their hearts, while others never did. Things are tightening up again now that the delta version is in full gear, and we're frantically attempting to prevent another lockdown. Yelp has implemented tools that allow companies to tell customers about their COVID policies immediately on their page.
Yelp is introducing a new feature this week that is, to say the least, divisive. Customers will be asked for evidence of vaccination if a restaurant or store uses the platform's new label, which eateries and retailers may include in their listings. Customers must bring their vaccination card to enter the institution if the label reads "evidence of immunization needed." Customers can also narrow their search by locations that need immunization to enter. This does not mean that every company will implement it. In fact, I'm not sure how many there will be. As I previously stated, it is a contentious topic, and I believe that many little firms, as well as the big boys, will choose to rely on the honor system. Yelp is doing its part to defend companies who choose to take a more aggressive position in order to keep their staff and customers safe. Yelp keeps an eye on their sites, adding Unusual Activity Alerts and removing reviews if they are being used to criticize a company's safety procedures. To date, they've deleted almost 4,500 reviews. As of now, it's unknown what type of legal issues they'll face as a result of this. In keeping with these new features to aid in the fight against the pandemic, the business listing firm has introduced a new label that shows whether or not all of a company's employees have been properly vaccinated.
