According to Newswatch TV, Nintendo delayed the film until spring 2023 without really explaining why. Since it's an animated film, they're changing some things in order to avoid the Sonic fiasco they had when releasing the video for the Sega movie.

After the first Sonic trailer was released, it was criticized pretty heavily by the online community. They took particular offense to the hedgehog's design in general, which came across as frightening rather than lovable. The creators promised to go back to the drawing board, and they did, returning with a classic-looking Sonic.

Nintendo is making a smart move if that's what they're doing. Sonic the Hedgehog was a box office hit and was loved by critics and audiences alike. It even inspired a sequel that's doing well.

We have decided that the global release of the Super Mario Bros. film will be held in Spring 2023. This is April 28 in Japan and April 7 in North America. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, tweeted from the official Nintendo of America Twitter page, “My deepest apologies, but the wait will be well worth it."

The animated project was basically reported back in 2018 with Chris Pratt adhering to it three years later. Since then, we’ve had very small in the method of components on the innovative aspect of the movie. We haven’t even seen leaked pictures to offer us a sense of the aesthetics.

One thing we do understand is that a ton of other large names have come on board since the film was announced. Anya Taylor-Joy will become Princess Peach, Charlie Day is Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key is Toad, Seth Rogen is Donkey Kong, Jack Black is Bowser, and Fred Armisen is Cranky Kong.

According to NewsWatch TV Cost, in spite of authorized notifications to the contrary, Chris Pratt will recreate the titular Mario character, which he is carrying will be Italian. If not, they can just slow this thing indefinitely.
